Macarons!!!!!

I finally got up the courage to try my hand at making macarons. If you are not familiar with macarons, google it. You will find plenty of pictures and descriptions. Now, I'm not exactly sure that they came out exactly right. So within the next couple of days I will do some research and possibly report back. They look exactly like they should, I'm just not sure if the texture is right. I made a plain almond cookie with nutella filling. Here's a picture:

Salted Caramel Dark Chocolate Chunk Cookies

These are probably my favorite chocolate chip cookie that I've ever made. They're definitely more gourmet than the average chocolate chip cookie. but oh so delicious. key ingredients: course sea salt, caramel topping, 60% cacao dark chocolate bar. now, the caramel isn't really noticeable, but it definitely adds to the rich flavor and consistency of the cookie. and the thick salt crystals off-set the deep chocolate beautifully. picture:

German Chocolate Cookies

I love these. I was wanting something that had the amazing coconut frosting that you would normally find on a German Chocolate Cake. But I didn't want to hassle of a cake. So I found this great recipe for the richest, most scrumptious cookies I have ever eaten. Here's what they look like.

Carrot Cake (or cupcakes)

So after making this same delicious carrot cake recipe 3 times, I have finally taken pictures and will share the beauty of them with you. This is the best carrot cake I have ever had, it's so moist and light. I did some with walnuts and raisins, and some plain. I like the plain better since they almost melt in your mouth, they're so soft. It also has a perfect cream cheese frosting on top to compliment the carrot/cinnamon flavor perfectly. Here's the pictures:

Dark Chocolate Molten Lava Cake

You know those wonderfully delicious chocolate cake dessert that you can get at places like Applebee's or Chili's? Well, that's what I made for dessert tonight. I made them in my really cute flower-mini-bundt-pan. *shown below* I forgot to get a picture of the actual cakes before they were snarfed down by myself and brothers and sister-in-law. But they were indeed delish. Dark chocolate cake with a gooey-melted ganache filling that oozes out when you cut into it. Served with creamy vanilla ice cream and drizzled with more sticky-rich-delicious ganache. Here's a picture of the pan I used, makes super cute cakes.

Valentine's Day Cupcakes

These are probably some of my favorite cupcakes. This was my first time making a cake from scratch. and I must say, they turned out fabulously! They are White cake with a chocolate ganache frosting. There are also a few that have just a simple white glaze on them with festive sprinkles. I finished frosting them all, using up all of the ganache and realized I still had another pan full of mini cupcakes. all is well though, cause it added a nice variety to the cupcakes. here they are!

Chocolate Chip Cookies

a classic and also a must have in any bakery. This is the first recipe that I've tried that I've actually liked. They're a little bit crispy on the outside but nice and soft towards the center. I'm sure I'll keep playing around with different kinds until i find THE perfect one. Here's how they turned out.
