Packaging.

I know it's been quite a while. But things have been super busy lately. Tonight I decided to make christmas gifts for all of my coworkers. I knew that I had to get my packaging going, so I got all the supplies tonight and made a whole bunch of cookies. (with the help of my mom) well, I forgot to take pictures of the cookies before I got everything packaged up. But we made three different kinds: Snickerdoodles, Royals(coconut, macadamia nut, and chocolate chip), and Peanut Butter kiss cookies. Here's the best part though, the gift box. Candy Corn Cupcakes

Aren't these SO cute!?!? and they're not pumpkin! It's basically just vanilla cake that has been dyed to look like candy corn. I love them!

P.S. Yeah, the picture makes them look like you'll get some sort of radiation poisoning or something from them, but they're really amazing. :)

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies

I know, you're probably sick of seeing all this pumpkin stuff by now. But it's fall, so I've got to play around with it. Plus, I made a deal with Emma. Her mom made spaghetti and meatballs yesterday. Like real, Italian meatballs. They are the best thing ever. So I told her I'd make her any desert she wanted if she would save me some of the meatballs. She wanted Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies. Here's how they turned out:

Pumpkin Roll

I had some left-over pumpkin, so I decided to try  my hand at making a pumpkin roll. It turned out pretty well actually. The trick is to roll it up right when it comes out of the oven, then once it has cooled, you unroll it a little and add the filling. Here's what it looks like. :)

Pumpkin Cupcakes

Since today was the first day of fall, I decided to bake something somewhat festive. Cream cheese and chocolate chip filled pumpkin cupcakes with cream cheese frosting. Take a look.

Cinnamon Rolls

I made my first attempt at cinnamon rolls tonight. And I must say, they turned out pretty darn good. I have never made anything with yeast before. I've watched my mom and various other people use it, but never have I made anything. So tonight was kind of an experiment. My mom was gone and I had to do it all by myself. I guess it did it right. Here's picture.
I do need to work on my frosting though. I couldn't quite get it the consistency that I hoped for. But it was still good, kind of more like a glaze though.

A very good place to start.
One week ago today, I decided I would open a bakery. I love to bake. Cookies, cakes, pies, and anything else that is sweet. The inspiration for the name came from the movie, "The Sound Of Music". So every once in a while I'll probably pull in some type of reference to the movie or a song in the movie.
